About

Holcus lanatus, Yorkshire fog, is a densely tufted, native perennial grass about 1 m tall with softly hairy, upright stems and flat, grey-green leaves. Purplish-red-tinged, single spikelets are produced at the ends of stems in summer, followed by greyish-pink seedheads. An important grassland grass and significant pollen allergen; suitable for a native wildflower meadow.
