About

A robust, rhizomatous perennial to about 2m tall from Central Asia and Mongolia with huge, broadly ovate, crinkled (maximowitchii), dark green leaves on sturdy, red-tinged stems and tall panicles of tiny, cream flowers in summer. A dramatic foliage plant for a large border with deep, moist, fertile soil.
