Holboellia coriacea, the sausage vine, is a rampant, evergreen climber with leaves composed of three oblong, leathery leaflets and clusters of small, pale-purple male and greenish female flowers that are sweetly fragrant in spring. These are occasionally followed by sausage-shaped, greenish-purple fruits 5�6 cm long. An ornamental climber for a sheltered, sunny wall or trellis.
