About
Vigorous, woody-stemmed, evergreen or semi-evergreen, twining climber about 6m tall, with papery dark green leaves composed of 5 or more leaflets which drop as the plant comes into flower. Abundant, aromatic, pale pink, separate male and female flowers in spring are sometimes followed by purple sausage-shaped edible fruit.
