About
Vigorous evergreen, woody-stemmed, twining climber about 5-7m tall, with leathery dark green leaves, greyish beneath, composed of 5-9 leaflets. Produces separate male and female scented, pale yellow pendent flowers flushed purple, to 3cm long, in late spring, and may be followed by edible, lilac-purple, sausage-shaped fruits.
