A small, slow-growing, semi-evergreen perennial to 8cm with leathery, lobed, dark green leaves which may be marbled or bronzed. Small, subtle flowers with six to eight petals appear in late winter to early spring and may be white, pink, red or purple, with matching or contrasting stamens.
