About
This clump-forming perennial, to around 65cm high, with arching, strap-shaped green leaves. Branching stems bear flowers up to 19cm across in summer, sometimes with a second flush in late summer or early autumn. Flowers have golden yellow petals with dark red markings, and narrow, slightly twisted sepals.

Care notes
CultivationGrow in fertile, well drained soil, in areas that will not dry out in summer. Prefers full sun, flowering is likely to be reduced in shadier situations. Water freely from spring to summer. Divide every 2-3 years to maintain vigour. See hemerocallis cultivation for more advice
PruningCut back flower stems after flowering has finished. Remove dead foliage as required
PropagationPropagate by division in early spring, or in autumn at least six weeks before the first frost. Propagate from seed sown in containers in a cold frame in autumn or spring
