About
Aromatic flowers are borne on bare stems in mid to late winter, with reddish-purple sepals at the base and narrow, curled red petals that are paler at the tips. A vigorous deciduous shrub or small tree, to around 3m high, with a spreading habit. Leaves are broadly oval and mid green, with a flush of bronze in spring, and red and orange autumn colours.
