About
A large, spiny, deciduous shrub or small tree to about 6m tall from the Gobi and arid central Asian steppes with tiny, scale-like, grey-green leaves on spreading, thorny stems. A remarkable and drought-tolerant shrub for a hot, sunny, dry border, and an interesting oddity for a desert or gravel garden.
