About

A deciduous, slow-growing tree with young shoots covered in a greyish-white bloom. Leaves divided into oval leaflets are variegated with creamy-white mottling; new leaves emerge tinted pink in the spring.

About the genus

Gymnocladus are deciduous trees with a spreading habit and large, bipinnate leaves. The inconspicuous flowers are unlikely to appear in the UK as the summers are not hot enough
