A mound-forming and spreading to semi-trailing, tender perennial usually grown as an annual bedding or container plant. Small, dark green leaves are 3-4cm long and flowers up to 2cm in diameter are white and purple and borne in rounded clusters in summer.

Glandularia are annuals or herbaceous perennials, native to The Americas and closely-related to Verbena (and included within Verbena until recently). Showy flowers typically have 5 petals and are held in rounded clusters in summer and autumn
