About
Ginkgo biloba, the maidenhair tree, is a deciduous tree to 25 m, conical when young and becoming more irregular with age. Leaves to 12 cm wide are fan-shaped and often bilobed, turning a spectacular, clear yellow in autumn. This is among the most ancient of all living tree species effectively unchanged since the age of the dinosaurs and one of the finest trees for autumn colour.
