Geum bulgaricum, Bulgarian avens, is a clump-forming, rhizomatous, evergreen perennial 20�60 cm high with basal rosettes of large, thick, green, toothed-edged leaves. Small, nodding, bell-shaped, greenish-yellow flowers appear in spring to early summer. An unusual and ornamental avens for a partly shaded border.
