A compact, clump-forming, deciduous to semi-evergreen herbaceous perennial, producing stems to 40cm high and green, aromatic divided foliage, which can turn reddish-bronze in autumn. Clusters of small, intensely pink flowers are produced above the foliage in spring and then sporadically until autumn. Its size and long-flowering season make it an useful subject for growing in pots.
