A compact, mat-forming, perennial from the arid habitats of Arizona and New Mexico with broadly ovate to rounded, silvery-hairy, grey-green leaves and small clusters of small, bright yellow, 4-petalled flowers in spring. A rare and choice desert wildflower for a hot, sunny, very well-drained rock garden or desert garden.
