Trithrinax campestris is a palm that starts with a rosette of leaves and gradually forms one or more trunks that are covered in fibrous spines, growing at a slow pace to reach approximately 6 meters in height. Its robust, wind-resistant leaves are a grey-green hue and are segmented into numerous narrow parts, each ending in a sharp spine. As the plant matures, it can produce clusters of white flowers in the autumn, with yellow fruit developing the subsequent summer.
