Tapiscia

Tapiscia sinensis is a deciduous tree that typically grows to heights of 9 meters or more in its natural habitat, though it usually remains smaller when cultivated. Its foliage consists of 5 to 9 ovate leaflets, each up to 12 centimeters long, featuring toothed edges and greyish-white undersides. In spring, the tree produces small, yellowish, fragrant flowers arranged in panicles that can reach lengths of 25 centimeters (male flowers) or in shorter, robust bisexual panicles. These blooms may later develop into egg-shaped, black fruits.
