Scirpus sylvaticus is a robust native sedge prevalent across much of the British Isles, typically reaching heights of around 1 meter. It features triangular stems and elongated, narrow leaves that are bright green with a keeled texture. During the summer, it produces clusters of small, brownish spikelets, which are arranged in a light, airy fashion.
