Poliothyrsis

Poliothyrsis sinensis is a deciduous tree that can reach heights of up to 10 meters. Its bark is grey and becomes deeply furrowed as the tree matures. The leaves are dark green, glossy, and slender with pointed tips, growing on red stems. New growth exhibits a bronze tint. During mid- to late summer, the tree produces small, fragrant flowers that are greenish-white and emerge from white buds, arranged in conical clusters that can measure up to 25 centimeters in length.

This genus consists of a single species of deciduous tree known for its glossy green leaves that offer appealing autumn hues. It produces loose, conical clusters of small, fragrant flowers that are creamy-yellow in color.
