Platyosprion

Platyosprion platycarpum is a deciduous tree that can attain heights of up to 30 meters (100 feet). It features a straight trunk with grey bark, which can measure up to 1.2 meters (4 feet) in diameter. The crown exhibits a dome shape, adorned with green leaves that comprise leaflets arranged along the midrib, complemented by a single leaflet at the apex. From April to June, the tree produces white flowers resembling peas, each with a yellow flush in the throat. This species is notably resilient and thrives in areas that provide ample space for growth, favoring full sunlight and moderately moist soil conditions across the UK.
