Narthecium asiaticum

Narthecium ossifragum is a perennial wildflower that propagates via rhizomes, commonly found in appropriate habitats across northern and western Britain, as well as Ireland. The foliage consists of flattened tufts resembling small irises, and during summer, it produces spikes of vibrant yellow, star-shaped blooms that provide an excellent pollen source for bees. After flowering, red seed capsules develop, and the entire plant adopts a dark orange hue in the autumn months.
