Luronium natans is a marginal aquatic plant that thrives in shallow water and boggy conditions, primarily found in the UK, though it is considered rare. This species features small, oval, dark green leaves when situated in shallow water, while its leaves become narrower and longer as water depth increases. From May to July, it produces small white flowers with three petals and yellow centers. For optimal growth, maintain a water depth of 5 to 10 cm (2 to 4 inches) over the crown, although it can adapt to depths of up to 4 meters. It is well-suited for smaller ponds.
