Lindernia dubia is an annual aquatic herb characterized by its upright, branching stems that can reach heights of approximately 30 cm. The leaves are lanceolate to oval in shape and may exhibit varying degrees of serration. This plant typically emerges along riverbanks, tidal marshes, and the edges of ponds and lakes, as well as in damp meadows, starting in May. Its notable violet-blue flowers, which feature three lower lobes, bloom from June through October. While Lindernia dubia has become invasive in certain regions of Europe, it is currently only established in a limited area of the UK.
