Legrandia concinna is a compact evergreen tree that reaches heights of approximately 8 meters, native to the temperate forests of central Chile. It is seldom grown in gardens but features notable reddish-brown bark that peels away, along with leathery, dark green leaves that can grow up to 3 cm long and emerge with a deep red hue. In early to midsummer, this species produces large, fragrant flowers resembling those of myrtle, characterized by elongated stamens, which are followed by red fruit.
