x Cycnodes Wine Delight gx 'Jem' is a medium-sized epiphytic orchid, reaching heights of about 45 cm. It features elongated, cylindrical pseudobulbs that are fleshy in texture. These pseudobulbs are adorned with alternating sheaths that bear leaves. The leaves are strap-like, varying in color from pale to mid-green, measuring up to 35 cm in length and 6 cm in width. They are semi-deciduous, typically persisting for one season, and occasionally two. Flowering stems hang from nodes on the mature pseudobulbs, producing 2 to 10 flowers. The blooms are downward-facing and can be either male or female, with the flower's sex influenced by the intensity of light; brighter environments tend to yield female flowers. Each flower boasts a glossy, deep red hue, measuring around 8 cm in diameter, and can last for up to 10 days.
