A wild species of Streptocarpus (Cape primrose) from southern Africa with a rosette of long, wrinkled, strap-shaped, dark green leaves and slender, erect scapes bearing clusters of tubular, pale blue to violet flowers with a pale throat and darker veining in spring and summer. An ornamental species for a shaded, humid glasshouse or bright windowsill.
