About

A compact, tufted, herbaceous perennial to about 30cm from high montane habitats in the Rocky Mountains, with narrow, spatula-shaped, hairy, mid-green leaves and comparatively large, solitary, daisy-like flowers with many violet to rose-purple rays and a golden-yellow central disc in spring. A charming alpine daisy for a sunny, sharply drained rock garden.
