About
A scattered annual wildflower found in much of the country but with a stronghold in Scotland. Reaching up to a metre tall, the square stems support toothed, oval leaves and are topped in mid-summer to autumn with whorls of pale yellow, hooded flowers with a purple lip, providing nectar and pollen for insects.
