About
A deciduous, upright but spreading shrub to 1.5m in height, with large, broadly heart-shaped red tipped, pale green leaves, and pendent terminal racemes of very small single flowers with slender red tubes, pale red sepals tinged yellow-green and bright red corollas, from summer to autumn, followed by oblong dark purple fruits.
