About
Exochorda _ macrantha is a vigorous, free-flowering hybrid pearlbush producing the characteristic arching stems, pale-green leaves and dense racemes of large, pure-white flowers of the genus in spring. 'The Bride' is the most widely grown cultivar, forming a graceful, arching mound smothered in white blossom.
About the genus
Exochorda, the pearlbushes, are deciduous shrubs with simple, pale-green leaves and terminal racemes of saucer-shaped, five-petalled, white flowers in spring. One of the most beautiful of all spring-flowering shrubs, particularly spectacular when in full bloom.
