About
Euphorbia myrsinites, the broad-leaved glaucous spurge, is an evergreen perennial with trailing, leafy stems to 35 cm bearing slightly fleshy, spirally arranged, bright glaucous-blue-green leaves. Terminal clusters of greenish-yellow flowers to 10 cm across appear in spring. An ornamental and architectural spurge for a sunny, very well-drained rock garden or wall top.
About the genus
Euphorbia, the spurges, are an extraordinarily diverse genus of annuals, perennials, shrubs and succulents producing milky sap and small flowers held within cupped, often brightly coloured bracts. They range from tiny alpine cushions and giant tree-like succulents to familiar garden perennials and houseplants.

Care notes
CultivationGrow under glass in a mix of three parts peat-free, loam-based potting compost to one part grit in full light. Water sparingly when in growth applying a low nitrogen liquid fertiliser monthly. Keep dry in winter. See Euphorbia for further advice
