About
A large, upright shrub to about 2.5m with corky ridges along the stems. Small, green flowers in spring are followed by copious, dark red, spherical fruit, splitting to reveal orange seeds. Foliage is oval, pointed, mid-green, briefly turning pale yellow and pink in autumn.
