About
A deciduous shrub, with a lax, spreading habit, and smooth or sometimes slightly winged bark on the stems. Leaves are oval, toothed and rich green, turning rich shades of red and purple in autumn. Flowers are small, greenish, and followed by purplish-red fruits splitting to reveal bright orange seeds.
