About
This upright to spreading, deciduous shrub to 1.5m tall and wide characterised by broad, corky wings that develop on the branchlets. Ovate to elliptic toothed leaves turn rich crimson in autumn; small, pale greenish-yellow flowers borne in spring are followed by spherical reddish-purple fruits in autumn that split to reveal bright orange seeds.
