Nymans Silver' is a columnar, dense, evergreen tree up to 15m high with on the same tree both compound leaves of three leaflets and simple leaves, up to 6cm long, toothed, glossy dark green above with creamy white margins, paler below, and scented white flowers, 7cm or more across, from late summer to autumn; the flowers are visited by bees for nectar and pollen.

CultivationGrow in a position sheltered from cold, drying winds and in full sun, but with the roots in shade in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil which is preferably neutral or acidic; will tolerate alkaline soil
