About

A group of small to medium, evergreen rhododendrons belonging to the Triflora subsection, characterised by small to medium, scaly, elliptic leaves and clusters of three or more funnel-shaped, lilac-purple, mauve, white, or pink flowers in spring. Several species in this group, including R. triflorum and R. yunnanense, are widely grown as hardy woodland shrubs.
