A dwarf, cushion-forming evergreen perennial from rocky habitats in the Pamir-Alai mountains, similar to D. hissarica, with densely packed, spoon-shaped, hairy leaves and small, salver-shaped, pale violet flowers in spring. A demanding specialist for a very well-drained cool alpine house.
