About
This erect, branching, epiphytic cactus to 2m, with cylindrical stems and flat, spineless, leaf-like branches to 40cm long. In late spring and early summer it produces huge, very aromatic, waterlily-like flowers to 25cm across; these open at dusk and close again the morning.

Care notes
CultivationGrow in epiphytic cactus compost in bright filtered or indirect light with moderate humidity. In growth, water freely and apply a high potash fertiliser 3 or 4 times; keep just moist for 6 weeks after flowering to allow a rest period. See epiphyllum cultivation for further information
