About

This vigorous, clump-forming evergreen perennial to around 40cm in height, with long dark green leaves which emerge mottled with red. A great choice for shady areas. Spidery pale to mid-pink flowers with long narrow spurs are held on fine-textured stems above the leaves in spring.

Care notes

CultivationGrow in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in partial shade, with shelter from cold, drying winds. Where frosts are prolonged or severe, spread an organic mulch such as leaf mould or composted bark to protect plants over winter
