About

A large, spreading, evergreen shrub or small tree to about 5m tall from western New South Wales and Queensland with long, leathery, grey-green leaves and dense, white or cream bottlebrush flower spikes in spring. A drought-tolerant and ornamental Australian native for a hot, sunny, well-drained position in a mild garden.

A large genus of over 1800 neotropical orchids, hugely varying in size and appearance. Long, cylindrical, reed-like stems (pseudobulbs) grow in tufts on a short rhizome and carry mostly terminal, sometimes lateral flowers
