About

A compact, tufted, rhizomatous, evergreen perennial to about 40cm tall from Nepal with erect, leafy stems bearing two ranks of broadly lance-shaped, bright green leaves and dense, terminal racemes of showy, fragrant, creamy-white ginger-lily flowers in late summer. A choice and ornamental Hedychium for a sheltered, warm, moist garden or cool glasshouse.

About the genus

Drosera, commonly known as the sundews are one of the largest genera of carnivorous plants. They are perennial or (more rarely) annual, upright herbaceous plants forming either prostrate or upright rosettes, and can live for up to 50 years.
