A compact, mat-forming, evergreen shrub from alpine habitats in Southwest China with small, leathery, dark green leaves and small, urn-shaped, pink-tinged flowers in short racemes, followed by small, dark berries. A rare Sino-Himalayan Vaccinium for cool, moist, very acidic conditions in a peat or rock garden.
