A large, slender-stemmed, evergreen shrub or small tree from southeastern Australia (flax wattle) with long, narrow, linear, mid-green phyllodes and dense, short spikes of bright golden-yellow, fluffy flowers in late winter and spring. A graceful and ornamental wattle for a sheltered, mild, well-drained sunny border.
