About
A genus of two deciduous shrubs from Japan and Korea (T. bracteata and T. paniculata), forming upright, twiggy shrubs with simple, alternate, ovate, mid-green leaves and long, slender, terminal racemes of small, three-petalled, white or pink flowers resembling those of a lily-of-the-valley in summer. A rare and choice woodland shrub for acidic, humus-rich soil in dappled shade.
About the genus
