About
'Cucurbita pepo 'Ghost Rider' is a well-liked cultivar known for its round pumpkins, featuring a robust, deep orange rind that measures between 16-40 cm (6-16 in) in diameter and weighs between 7-11 kg (15-24 lbs). These pumpkins have excellent storage capabilities. Inside, the flesh is vivid orange and notably sweet. Its uniform shape makes it ideal for carving during Halloween.

- Cultivation
- Grow in fertile, moisture retentive but well drained, acidic to neutral soil in full sun. Sow indoors March to May in good quality seed compost. Sow the seeds on their side 1cm deep and maintain a constant temperature of 18-21C. Feed regularly with a high potassium fertiliser when the first fruits start to swell.
