Grow in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Deep planting or use of a thick, dry, organic mulch will help plants to overwinter in colder areas. Has the potential to become a nuisance in some gardens if not managed well
Pruning
No pruning required, except removal of dead leaves and flower stems in autumn or before new growth starts in spring
Propagation
Propagate by division of established clumps in spring
Pest resistance
May be susceptible to glasshouse red spider mite
Disease resistance
Generally disease-free
