Cornus kousa var. chinensis 'Madison' is a deciduous shrub or small tree that can reach approximately 3 meters in height within a decade. It features oval leaves that display a rich green hue. In late spring, this plant produces sizable creamy white flowers, which are succeeded by fruit resembling strawberries that mature to a pinkish-red color. During the heat of summer, the new foliage may exhibit yellow and red tints, transitioning to shades of orange and red as fall arrives.
