Cornus kousa 'Eurostar' is a compact shrub or small tree that typically reaches heights of 2 to 3 meters. Its leaves are glossy dark green, featuring a lighter midrib, and they display appealing autumn hues. Throughout summer and into September, this variety produces an abundance of large, white bracts that resemble petals, which gradually transition to red at the edges or take on a greenish tint, encircling small, cream-colored flower clusters. Additionally, it yields a plentiful harvest of red, strawberry-like fruits.
