About

Cornus florida f. rubra 'Red Giant' is a slow-growing deciduous shrub or small tree, typically reaching heights of 4 to 7 meters. Its leaves are oval to ovate in shape, showcasing a deep green hue that transitions to shades of red and purple in the fall. At maturity, the plant produces many average-sized flowers characterized by four broad, pinkish-red bracts that are notched, with lighter coloring at the tips and bases, encircling a cluster of small greenish-yellow blooms. In late summer, it bears slender red fruits.
