About
Cornus alba Miracle ('Verpaalen2' PBR) is a substantial deciduous shrub that can reach heights of up to 2 meters. Its upright green stems transform to a vivid red hue as winter approaches. In spring, the oval leaves initially appear pinkish, transitioning to a variegated mix of cream and green throughout the summer months. As autumn arrives, foliage shifts to shades of red and deep purple-pink. During summer, clusters of creamy white flowers bloom, giving way to blue-black berries in the fall.
About the genus
Cornus includes a variety of deciduous shrubs and trees, as well as prostrate, woody perennials, some featuring vibrant young stems. The small flowers appear in compact clusters, occasionally accompanied by prominent bracts. Several species display attractive foliage in the fall.
